Good Morning GHS Families,

This is Dr. Mygas calling to tell you about an incident which happened today, Tuesday, April 30.  At approximately 9:50 AM, the fire alarm went off, and all students and staff quickly evacuated the building.  Within a few minutes, it was determined that the alarm went off due to work being done on the sprinkler system.  There was no fire or any other danger to the safety of students or staff.  After approximately 20 minutes, the alarms were turned off, and everyone returned to the building and resumed class.

I want to thank all of our students and staff for their safe and efficient evacuation today.  As always, safety is our top priority at GHS.  Thank you, and have a great day.

Sincerely,

Stefan Mygas, Ed.D.
Principal, Gloucester High School
