I hope this message finds you well. We wanted to inform you of an incident that occurred earlier today regarding school safety.
At approximately 12:10 pm, the sound of gunshots was heard in the area of Page Middle School, though off-campus. As a precautionary measure, both Page Middle School and Gloucester High School entered a secure mode, securing the outside perimeters.
We understand that such situations can be concerning, but please rest assured that the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities. The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office quickly responded, and by approximately 12:20 pm, both campuses were cleared.
